9 Must Have Apps For College

College can be super stressful, but thank God there are apps out there to help ease the stress. I honestly don't see how people survived without smart phones! So here is a list of my favorite helpful apps.

  1. Quizlet has saved my butt so many times when it came to studying. Study blue used to be that for me but now they want to charge you , but that's either here nor there. Quizlet is a free flashcard making app. You can play games and search for flashcards that are already made for your class. This App is a must!
  2. Groupme is for those dreaded group projects. It makes messaging a ton of people at the same time easy.
  3. If you go to a school that has a bus route you are gonna need the Transloc app. It tracks all of the buses and tells you what time it will be at your location. All you do is put in your school and the bus you are waiting for and it will show you where the bus is! If you are extremely impatient like me then you will need this.
  4. Okay I consider myself an unorganized perfectionist. I want everything perfect but I cannot stay organized for a very long time. Its really stressful. I don't like planners, or calendars. They are cute but I will not stick to it. That's where Anydo comes into play. It is literally the simplest to-do list every. You put in everything you need to do and plan your day and it reminds you about it and if you complete your task you get a reward like a coupon. My only issue I have with Anydo is that it is always restarting itself and killing my battery so I had to find something else until I get a new phone.
  5. Mint is an app that keeps track of all of your spending and makes a budget for you. If you are that person that swipes their debit card and hopes it goes through this is for you. Every week they email a summary of your account to you so will always know what is in your account.
  6. Myhomework app keeps all of your classes and your assignments on track. Just enter all of your information from your syllabus and then you will never forget about an assignment.
  7. Doulingo is an app that teaches you a foreign language for free. If you plan on taking a a foreign language class i recommend you work on some lessons on doulingo before you take the class or during. It really helped me in french.
  8. Do you hate math? Of course you do. Mathway works out the problem for you in one click! But Trust me do not use it as a crutch! You wil fail!!!!!! I repeat YOU WILL FAIL!
  9. Moving on to Google Docs. You can make document, slide shows and spread sheets on Google docs for on the go. It comes in handy when you forgot to write an essay before class.

Fall/Winter Fashion report 16/17

I know 2015 is just around the corner but I'm excited for the fashion trends for 2016/2017 year. We are about to leave monochromatic 2 piece sets, A-lined silhouettes, tailored, clean and polished looks for something a little more rugged, raw and over sized. Style looks such as; Remaster, Artisan, Offbeat and Elemental will take over in the upcoming seasons.

 Remaster

For the remastered look think of someone taking the Mona Lisa painting and hacking at it with scissors. Remastering is deconstruction old looks. It is taking Victorian and Medieval costumes and making them modern and ready-to-wear. Remaster-drama, romance and history with a modern edge!

make up mistakes, santa baby, matte lips, job interview, invisible zipper, and cleaning sewing machines: Favorite vlogs of the week 12/14/14

I'm starting a new thing where I share some of my favorite vlogs I watched this week!

Pretty Cheap: One Dollar Shampoo

My hair is like Regina George because sometimes she personally victimizes me and when it comes to shampoo I can't use cheap shampoo because she will get vengeful. But VO5 and White Rain shampoos always make their way into my bathroom because people like to buy it and give it to me. "Thanks, but no thanks." is what I thought until I discovered the use for this stuff!
  1. Clean make-up brushes and paint brushes. If you add a few drops to a cup of water and soak. This get rid off all that oil, glitter and gunk.
  2. Clean hair brushes and combs. Run some water in the sink and fill with shampoo, then clean out your hair tools
  3. Fix a stuck zipper. Add a drop to lubricate the zipper.
  4. Hand-washing.
  5. Clarify hair. Once a month clarify your hair with this shampoo. The sulfates and harsh detergents with get out all of the product build-up
  6. Lastly, This stuff makes the BEST bubble bath. Normal bubble bath bubbles only last or a minute or two but this stuff last for hours! I would buy this over bubble bath any day!

I met Rebecca Minkoff!

She came to Saks Fifth Avenue in Birmingham, Al earlier this month. She scared me because she's tall and skinny. I wasn't prepared, but she is fabulous.

Fall/Winter Pamper Evening

So I like pamper evenings. Allot. I like to take time out of like and take care of me. Plus its a perk of being a lady; bubble baths, scented candles, face mask, nail color, shampoo, conditioner all of that good jazz. Here I listed the steps I take to pamper myself.

Inside:

I like to start off with a good meal and I take my vitamins and drink plenty of water because I usually forget during the week. I take Fish Oil during the fall/winter to help strengthen my immune system and it help in healthy brain function and I also take One A Day Women's M
ultivitamins and Hair Skin and Nail Vitamin with Argan oil. After I'm done with my pampering I like to eat chocolate or have some hot cocoa.

 Set the Mood:

To set my pamper mood, I use with candles and music. I like to use fall/winter themed candles like gingerbread cookie and vanilla cupcakes.

Face:

To start pampering my face I washing it with my cleansing oils to get rid of make up and bacteria. I apply more oil and use my cleansing brush on the exfoliate setting to exfoliate my skin. Then I apply my Freeman oatmeal and avocado face mask. Sometime I use my lip exfoliating mask from Mary Kay. After 15-20 minutes I tone my face with Apple Cider Vinegar and moisturize with coconut oil.

Hair:

For my hair I either apply a hot oil treatment or a pre-poo or a protein treatment. Then I wash it out in the shower with shampoo. Then I follow the shampoo with a apple cider vinegar rinse or a teas rinse. Then I apply either a deep conditioner or a rinse out conditioner. After 3-20 minutes I rinse out the conditioner. Next I rinse with cold water to seal my follicles and then I t-shirt dry. After t-shirt drying I moisturize my hair using the LOC method. For my oil I use olive oil because it is a thicker oil. Lastly I braid my hair and air dry.

Teeth:

I whiten my teeth with hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and salt.

Body:

I usually take a bubble bath with baby oil and sometimes I make a detox bath (I will make a post about my favorite detox bath later!) And I also exfoliate my body with a body brush or a coffee scrub(Post on that later too).

Nails:

First I take off that ugly chipped nail polish. I like to soak my nails in warm oils, then push back my cuticles, afterward. I then file, clip and use a nail strengthener.
